Tonic has developed an enduring partnership with leading theatre book publisher Nick Hern Books. Together with NHB we’ve published two books and seven plays (and counting!). For each book launch we’ve celebrated with a live event.

The launch of 100 Great Plays for Women featured rehearsed readings of extracts from several of the plays referenced in the book. The readings were performed by Samantha Bond, Liz Chan, Margot Leicester, Kate O’Flynn and Justin Salinger, and directed by Lucy Kerbel.

The launch of All Change Please doubled up with a mini-workshop in how to make change happen.

The launches of the first two cycles of our Platform plays featured staged readings of extracts of the plays performed by members of the National Youth Theatre, directed by Julia Thomas and Alice Knight.

We’re grateful to the National Theatre Studio for hosting all of Tonic’s book launch events.
