About the Course

A key concern for young people across the country at this time is resilience. This is especially true for those in the performing arts, who will need more than just technical excellence to navigate their career. This workshop focusses on how resilience can be promoted through performing arts training. Together we will explore how resilience is built, and what our roles and responsibilities are in leading “resilient spaces” as educators. Zooming further in on the student experience, we will consider the role of perfectionism, and discuss how our approach and language can help students cultivate an empowered relationship with their practice and their future careers.
