Performing Arts Training: Five years on from #MeToo

Attendees at 5 Years on from #MeToo: What Next for Drama Schools, June 2022

Our first in-person event post-pandemic took place on 10th June 2022 in London. Called Five Years on from #MeToo: What Next for Drama Schools, it was open to all staff and freelancers working in drama schools and performing arts colleges.

Autumn 2022 will mark five years since the increased profile of the #MeToo movement that prompted self-reflection and awareness within the performing arts industries. As we approached this anniversary, Tonic convened this event specially created for people who work in drama schools and performing arts colleges. We were delighted with the turn out. The event was fully-booked with a waiting list in operation.

Tonic also used the event to launch a digital workbook that we have created for training institutions to help them on their work in this area.

You can get a flavour of what was discussed at the event in Tonic Delivery Lead Gina Abolin’s blog about the day.
