About the Course

In 2017, Tonic was commissioned by the National Theatre to do a wide-reaching project on how the organisation ran internal meetings. The NT knew it relied heavily on meetings as a way of decisions being made and things getting done. But it also wanted meetings to be inclusive. There was a desire for them to be spaces in which a wide variety of voices and styles of communicators were heard. This was necessary for the organisation to fully benefit from the diverse range of experience, expertise and perspectives encompassed in its staff.

Among the outputs was a range of practical training sessions created by Tonic which support staff to lead and contribute to efficient, well-run and inclusive meetings. We are now happy to offer these to arts and culture organisations.
